Chav Ballerinas

Tapping, skipping, vogueing, whacking. The chav ballerinas premiered in our first live show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as a reaction to how we felt Irish dancers were perceived by more established artforms. But basically, they're us; working class drinkers with some mad skills. They had their first cabaret outing at the Roundhouse in 2012 and we still haven't managed to kill them off.

Choreographed / performed by Suzanne Cleary & Peter Harding

Duration: 4 minutes

"They are a toe-tapping sensation –

literally toe tapping: Cleary at several times performs Irish step en pointe"
